Feature Film (2013) | Music, Sound Design, Dialogue Editing, and Mixing by David Graey
Produced by James Coulter
Directed by David Espy, Kayla Tull, and Genetra Tull
A retelling of Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables set against the background of modern immigration issues.
This film required a detailed approach to dialogue cleaning, sweetening and mixing, as it was partially a student film, and one of my very first taking the full sound design in hand (post, sweetening, mixing, rerecording, dubbing, mastering, foley performance/recording and sfx editing. The film had some licensed music already in place, but the soundtrack needed to be filled out and given some thematic musical cohesiveness.
